Story World - Christmas Tales

I learned about a new thing today: Storyworld Christmas Tales... these are cards with an illustration and then some words to make kids think and spin a tale...

I especially love Maggie Kneen's art.

Here's some more of Debra McFarlane's cards and here's some of Tomislav Tomic's

"In the moonlight", Olena Skytsiuk

Petrykivka is traditional Ukrainian folklore painting style. Olena Skytsiuk is especially amazing with this style... it reminds me of Klaus Haapaniemi, so I'd say he's very influences by the Slavic folklore.

Star Portraits with Rolf Harris, Series Two

Cilla Black

Adrian Edmondson
by Bill Mundy, Morgan Penn and Nicholas Archer

Marjorie 'Mo' Mowlam
by Aine Divine, Robbie Stuart and Rob Beckett
(If that link to Rob Beckett doesn't work, try this)

Richard Wilson
by Charlie Wells, Clare Shenstone and Richard Brazier

- I adore that Clare Shenstone piece...

I am not sure about Charlie Wells... His old homepage says: "Charlie Wells aka Sebastian Rivett", so I assume the graffiti artist Sebastian Rivett is this Charlie Wells.

Star Portraits with Rolf Harris, Series One

One of my favorite programs is BBC's Star Portraits. I have wanted to be a portrait painter for a very long time... I suppose since I first realized that there is such a job :-D

I have been trying to find a good page with samples of all the portraits and links to the artists, and today I found one...
Unfortunately, BBC doesn't see it necessary to upkeep the site, so it's down. This is why I have chosen to replicate it, and also add the rest of the information, as the site ends with season 2.

Series One

Michael Parkinson

Charlie Dimmock

David Dickinson
